Nice Lesley Gore clip. Too bad she's a kike dyke from NJ.

Hey, great to see you here Bobster!

What's so bad about one of Yahweh's little princesses being a lesbian? Hell, if they all became dykes, we'll solve our Jewish problem in one generation.

The Bobster

Yeah, you have a point there. We should convince more of them to become dykes, as long as they don't try to brainwash our women.

I actually found this place by accident after searching for places to troll the Cheerios ad.

I love The Reverend Horton Heat. I remember him as a teenager.

A friend of mine, who used to have an account on SF, was a singer for a back up band that toured with Rev. Horton Heat.

He also introduced me to the music of C.C. Adcock and Junior Brown.

Smoke, they removed "Stealin All Day" CC Adcock and the Lafayette Marquis Live" maybe they found out it was posted here?

Anyway, I found another video for those that didn't get a chance to see it. The live version sounded much better and the video itself was total showmanship.

And btw, I'm sure this "CC Ad-Cock" is a Jew. But rest assure there was no Jews in the history of the south according to our 'Scottish' friend who use to post at VNN.

“If everybody likes you, you're pretty dull.”
― Bette Davis

“I never wished I’d been a man. I always felt like a woman and wanted to be a woman. I wanted to be fulfilled professionally and personally, as a woman. There are some who might say I had penis envy, but I only had penis admiration.”
― Bette Davis

“When a man gives his opinion, he's a man. When a woman gives her opinion, she's a bitch.”
― Bette Davis

“I'm the nicest goddamn dame that ever lived.”
― Bette Davis

- Joan Crawford

"If you have an ounce of common sense and one good friend you don't need an analyst."
- Joan Crawford

"If you've earned a position, be proud of it. Don't hide it. I want to be recognized. When I hear people say, 'There's Joan Crawford!' I turn around and say, 'Hi! How are you!'"

- Joan Crawford

"Love is a fire. But whether it is going to warm your hearth or burn down your house, you can never tell."

Video for "4:41AM (Sexual Revolution)" from Roger Waters' 1984 debut "The Pros & Cons of Hitch Hiking", Eric Clapton is featured on the album on lead guitar.

"Hey girl, take out the dagger and let's have a stab at the sexual revolution."

QuicksilverHammer 1 year ago

It's hilarious and a little sad because the best guitar work Clapton ever did is all over this little known album, lol. No, seriously. This is the BEST of Clapton, right here.

It was because of bands like Ten Years After and Cream that black musicians had to look elsewhere when it came to music. These groups wrote, played and arranged better rock, blues and jazz than any of the black artists...They took this music to it's limits and back again. There was nowhere left to go.

I am not ashamed to say this. My eyes are wet with joy, watching this video over and over. In this world where mediocracy is celebrated, it is a real pleasure to watch perfection in one's art that one rarely sees in one's lifetime. Watch and enjoy.

Over 4,000 comments to this video....

One of my favorite parts about this routine is you can stop at almost any random frame and see that a ballerina is dancing her art.

The way Polina dances is so special! With so many dancers now a days youre amazed at how high their legs are, how many turns they do etc. etc. It becomes almost like rythmic gymnastics.

Semionova is a wonderful dancer mostly because she is one of the few who makes you appreciate how beautiful ballet in itself is.

Divina! Beliissima! At my age, it is enough just to share the planet with her.

Well I don't want no Jesus freak to tell me what it's all about
No black magician telling me to get my soul out
Don't believe in violence, I don't even believe in peace
I've opened the door and my mind has been released

Well I don't want no preacher telling me about the god in the sky
No I don't want no one to tell me where I'm gonna go when I die
I wanna live my life, I don't want people telling me what to do
I just believe in myself, 'cause no one else is true

Back in '82, when I was 17 years old, with a rebuilt Z-28 painted in Corvette red, I scored a date with a hot chick at my high school. She told me that we can meet up at the local Big Boy's restaurant at 11:00am Sunday, about the time that the local hymn singers were getting out of church and heading there for brunch.

Remember those juke boxes at each individual table back then?

While waiting for our food, she flipped through the selections and found one that she wanted to listen to....Black Sabbath's N.I.B. Each letter stood for the first initial of satan's three children, and while the song played, she sang the song, and knew when to sing each of satan's children's names in the guitar riffs. I laughed my ass off.

"The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald"

The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee
The lake, it is said, never gives up her dead
When the skies of November turn gloomy
With a load of iron ore twenty-six thousand tons more
Than the Edmund Fitzgerald weighed empty
That good ship and true was a bone to be chewed
When the gales of November came early

The ship was the pride of the American side
Coming back from some mill in Wisconsin
As the big freighters go, it was bigger than most
With a crew and good captain well seasoned
Concluding some terms with a couple of steel firms
When they left fully loaded for Cleveland
Then later that night when the ship's bell rang
Could it be the north wind they'd been feelin'?

The wind in the wires made a tattle-tale sound
When the wave broke over the railing
And every man knew, as the captain did too
'Twas the witch of November come stealin'
The dawn came late and the breakfast had to wait
When the gales of November came slashin'
When afternoon came it was freezing rain
In the face of a hurricane west wind

When suppertime came, the old cook came on deck
Sayin' "Fellas, it's too rough to feed ya"
At seven PM a main hatchway caved in
He said, "Fellas, it's been good to know ya"
The captain wired in he had water comin' in
And the good ship and crew was in peril
And later that night when his lights went out of sight
Came the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald

Does anyone know where the love of God goes
When the waves turn the minutes to hours?
The searchers all say they'd have made Whitefish Bay
If they'd put fifteen more miles behind her
They might have split up or they might have capsized
They may have broke deep and took water
And all that remains is the faces and the names
Of the wives and the sons and the daughters

Lake Huron rolls, Superior sings
In the rooms of her ice-water mansion
Old Michigan steams like a young man's dreams
The islands and bays are for sportsmen
And farther below, Lake Ontario
Takes in what Lake Erie can send her
And the iron boats go as the mariners all know
With the gales of November remembered

In a musty old hall in Detroit they prayed
In the Maritime Sailors' Cathedral
The church bell chimed 'til it rang twenty-nine times
For each man on the Edmund Fitzgerald
The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee
Superior, they said, never gives up her dead
When the gales of November come early

Mariners' Church of Detroit

Perhaps one of the most widely known churches by any maritime enthusiast, Mariners' Church of Detroit in based in Detroit, Michigan. It is a "Free and Independent" church which is known best for the commemoration started by its own Reverend Ingalls on November 11, 1975. One day after the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald, Reverend Ingalls sat quietly in prayer for the twenty-nine men lost in the sinking. After praying, the Reverend rang the church bell twenty-nine times, one for each crew man. This memorial was recognized by the media and by songwriter Gordon Lightfoot almost immediately, and before long, everyone who knew about the Fitz knew about Reverend Ingalls and the Mariners' Church of Detroit. The Mariners' Church memorial service takes place each year on the Sunday closest to November 10th on the calendar.

My Generation by The Who. Performed September 15, 1967 on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. This is the Infamous performance in which the drummer, Kieth Moon, had extra charges added into his bass drum for the explosion without telling the rest of the band. The explosion was too intense and resulted in Moon getting cut up from his drum kit while the guitarist Pete Townshend's hearing suffers.

Only one town in the world named Hell. Hell, Michigan. The name of the highway to Hell is Patterson Lake Road.

Look it up.

That is where Smoky grew up.

Today I lost my job in East Tennessee. Not shitting you. One of the complaints was that top management at DyNASTY Spas found my "Hell Country Store and Spirits" ball cap offensive. Been wearing it for over a year with no complaints. A cop out. I think they finally found out who I am. Screw them, I have better places to go. Smoky always lands on his feet. ;)

Pow! Right between the eyes
Oh, how nature loves her little surprises
Wow! It all seems so logical now
It's just one of her better disguises
And it comes with no warning
Nature loves her little surprises
Continual crisis

Hey, don't you know it's a waste of your day
Caught up in endless solutions
That have no meaning, just another hunch
Based upon jumping conclusions
Caught up in endless solutions
Backed up against a wall of confusion
Living a life of illusion

That guitar solo is da shizzit..i mean the real deal Holyfield. This song took off like a comet in 1981, straight to number 1 in like 2 weeks. The ironic thing is it came right after the "Disco is Dead" era and ushered in its new name, Dance Music. I think it was the B-side of "Tide Is High"

From 1978's Strangers in Town

Nights were warm
Dreams were easy
No one standing overhead
Conversation didn't mean much
We were hungry but could not be fed
Radio blasting silly little love songs
We only listened for the beat
Taking our chances
Out there on the mean streets
Hiding in the shadows from the heat
We weren't lovers just brave strangers
As we fought and we tumbled through the night
We were players not arrangers
As we jammed till the dawn's early light
Swimming in the big lake
Taking it easy
Taking any comfort we could find
Didn't need the real truth
Didn't need the meaning
Straight ahead ignoring every sign
Every sign
And oh I remember I know you do too
Oh that one evening
I know you do too
I know you remember it too
The moon was high
Moon was flying high
We were hiding in the backwoods
Hiding out in the backwoods
With the moon flying high
My hand was shaking
And you took my hand
And it went all right
And it went all right
It went all right
So we walked out hardly speaking
Disappearing in the night
Saw each other a few times after
But we never really got it right
We weren't lovers just brave strangers
As we rolled and we tumbled through the night
We were players not arrangers
And we jammed till the dawn's early light

Nervous tension, man's invention,
Is the biggest killer that's around today
Let the tension out or it will build and build inside
And strike you down some day
Nervous tension, man's invention
Is the biggest waste of human energy
Let the tension out, or it will surely kill
And that will be a tragedy

Valium helps you for a while
But somehow valium seems to bring me down
There's no pill I can recommend where side effects
Aren't guaranteed to send you round the bend

You gotta let out the tension
With a little bit of exercise
Loosen up your muscles
And feel the knots in your body untie.......

"Gallows Pole"

Hangman, hangman, hold it a little while,
Think I see my friends coming, Riding a many mile.
Friends, did you get some silver?
Did you get a little gold?
What did you bring me, my dear friends, To keep me from the Gallows Pole?
What did you bring me to keep me from the Gallows Pole?

I couldn't get no silver, I couldn't get no gold,
You know that we're too damn poor to keep you from the Gallows Pole.
Hangman, hangman, hold it a little while,
I think I see my brother coming, riding a many mile.
Brother, did you get me some silver?
Did you get a little gold?
What did you bring me, my brother, to keep me from the Gallows Pole?

Brother, I brought you some silver,
I brought a little gold, I brought a little of everything
To keep you from the Gallows Pole.
Yes, I brought you to keep you from the Gallows Pole.

Hangman, hangman, turn your head awhile,
I think I see my sister coming, riding a many mile, mile, mile.
Sister, I implore you, take him by the hand,
Take him to some shady bower, save me from the wrath of this man,
Please take him, save me from the wrath of this man, man.

Hangman, hangman, upon your face a smile,
Pray tell me that I'm free to ride,
Ride for many mile, mile, mile.

Oh, yes, you got a fine sister, She warmed my blood from cold,
Brought my blood to boiling hot To keep you from the Gallows Pole,
Your brother brought me silver, Your sister warmed my soul,
But now I laugh and pull so hard And see you swinging on the Gallows Pole

Swingin' on the gallows pole!

Back in the mid 70s a man came up to me at camp ground and asked me if I was a "LedHead".

Gave him a wink and a smile.
