"Russia released new video of a devastating undersea nuclear weapon it says it is developing.
On July 19, the Russian Ministry of Defense uploaded videos to its YouTube account including one of a device called “Poseidon,” Business Insider reported.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has said Russia is developing weapons more powerful than what’s in the possession of any other nation.
In March, Putin said Russia is developing an unmanned submersible vehicle, powered by “an innovative nuclear power unit” 100 times smaller than existing submarine reactors, but far more powerful.
The Russian unmanned submarine could move at “extreme depths, intercontinentally, at a speed multiple times higher than the speed of submarines, cutting-edge torpedoes and all kinds of surface vessels, including some of the fastest,” Putin said.
Putin said the underwater drones “are quiet, highly maneuverable and have hardly any vulnerabilities for the enemy to exploit. There is simply nothing in the world capable of withstanding them.”
Russia has been releasing drawings of such a weapon for years. In a 2015 piece in Foreign Policy, Jeffrey Lewis, an expert on nuclear policy at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, called such a weapon “Putin’s doomsday machine.”
An underwater bomb could cause a vast tsunami.
“A well-placed nuclear weapon of yield in the range 20 MT to 50 MT near a sea coast could certainly couple enough energy to equal the 2011 tsunami, and perhaps much more,” said physicist Rex Richardson, referring to the disasters in Japan that year that left 15,000 people dead. He said waves hitting 330 feet high “are possible.”
A blast near shore would also spread fallout from underwater debris.
“Los Angeles or San Diego would be particularly vulnerable to fallout due to the prevailing onshore winds,” Richardson said.

Not everyone is a believer.
Greg Spriggs, a nuclear-weapons physicist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, said that even if a nuke could create a tsunami, it could not match the power of a naturally occurring one.
“So any tsunami created by a nuclear weapon couldn’t be very large,” he said, saying that the energy released in the 2011 tsunami was far larger than any nuclear bomb known to man.
He said a 50-megaton bomb could do damage, but putting it underwater would reduce the devastation, not amplify it.
“This would produce a fraction of the damage the same 50 MT weapon could do if it were detonated above a large city,” Spriggs said. “If there is some country out there that is angry enough at the United States to use a nuclear weapon against us, why would they opt to reduce the amount of damage they impose in an attack?”

The Saint-Pierre du Matroi church in Orleans France was set on fire with “criminal intent” on 25 July. Police discovered the words “Allahu Akbar” spray painted on a wall. Furniture and sheet music were burned and the heinous graffiti found.
According to the Christianophobia Observatory, a French non-profit organisation that tracks attacks against Christians in the country, there were 128 incidents of church vandalism or other anti-Christian attacks in France in the first five months of 2018.

"An organization has been kicked out of a fair held by the Lambeth Borough Council in the United Kingdom because it displayed the wrong values. It was pro-life.
According to the Catholic Herald, the organization called Life had arranged months earlier to take part in the event, similar to a county fair.
However, “when they arrived on the second day of the show they discovered their stall had been taken down before officials told their volunteers to leave. The show’s organizers said the council had decided to remove them because Life was ‘against the values of Lambeth Council’ and was ‘not in line with the causes the council has been funding and supporting.'”
Life says it has evidence the Lambeth Borough Council had granted it permission to attend the Lambeth Country Show in Brockwell Park and accepted payment for its stall.

Lambeth Labour councilor Ed Davie later claimed on social media the stall “wasn’t officially allowed. They were not on the list of approved exhibitors, we tried to get them removed and will make sure not there today.” He criticized the “plastic fetuses” the organization had on display.

His story wasn’t exactly right, Life said.“We are able to provide confirmation of our official booking, payment and presence on the exhibitor list,” the organization’s statement said. Spokeswoman Anne Scanlan added: “Nothing on our stall was offensive. There were life-like fetal models and pictures of the unborn baby at different gestational stages which can be seen on any pregnancy website including the NHS.”

"California is once again engulfed in wild fires, but it turns out they are all the worse because of the disastrous environmental policies of the Obama administration. According to The New York Times, California has been engulfed in flames since 2012!
“Since 2012, according to state emergency management officials, there has not been a month without a wildfire burning — a stark contrast to previous decades, when fire officials saw the fall and winter as a time to plan and regroup,” the paper wrote at the end of July.
Naturally, the left imagines that the reason there have been so many wild fires since 2012 is because of its favourite, catch-all excuse, “climate change.” But, as Daily Wire reported, there is a more truthful answer: it’s Obama.

As California burns, many Californians have been asking why the dramatic increase in wildfires in the last five years? Except for Governor Jerry Brown. Governor Brown claims that devastating fires are the “new normal.” Supporting Obama-era regulations have resulted in the new normal: an endless and devastating fire season. Under Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, “the Obama administration finalized a rule governing the management of 193 million acres of national forests and grasslands, establishing a new blueprint to guide everything from logging to recreation and renewable energy development,” The Washington Post reported in 2012. “The rule will serve as the guiding document for individual forest plans, which spell out exactly how these lands can be used.” These Obama-era regulations introduced excessive layers of bureaucracy that blocked proper forest management and increased environmentalist litigation and costs — a result of far too many radical environmentalists, bureaucrats, Leftist politicians and judicial activists who would rather let forests burn than let anyone thin out overgrown trees or let professional loggers harvest usable timber left from beetle infestation, or selectively cut timber.
Liberals imagine that they are saving dah earf by preventing forestry service personnel from thining out the brush to prevent the piling up what becomes kindling in a forest fire situation. That is exactly what the Obama administration ended up doing; making rules to prevent forestry services from making sure all that brush could be taken out and was allowed to pile up causing a fire hazard. And it was 2012 that the Obama administration struck by doing a complete overhaul of the regulations controlling the policies.

In 2015, Washington D.C. District Court Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, an Obama appointee, rejected claims from a coalition of timber, livestock, and off-highway vehicle organizations that the Obama sustainability provisions in the 2012 Planning Rule would cause an economically harmful reduction in timber harvest and land use and an increase in forest fires. “Defendants Klamath-Siskiyou Wildlands Center and Oregon Wild, represented by the Western Environmental Law Center, as well as The Wilderness Society and Defenders of Wildlife, represented by Earthjustice, argued that existing federal law provided ample authority for the Forest Service to promulgate the Planning Rule provisions, which place emphasis on ecologically sustainable forest management,” Earthjustice reported.
As with the Clinton administration in the 1990’s, the Obama administration worked against all drilling, mining, ranching, farming, property ownership, and made it happen through the 2012 eco-terrorism regulations.
So, thanks to Obama’s meddling in Forest Service regulations, we’ve had massively destructive forest fires day in and day out size 2012.
Indeed, the Carr fire destroyed thousand of acres and killed two people. But even worse has been the Mendocino fire, according to Fortune magazine.
Another major wildfire is tearing through California and it’s growing at a phenomenal pace. The Mendocino Complex Fire jumped creeks, firelines and roads this weekend, and is already the second-largest wildfire in the state’s history, as judged by acres burned.
As of Monday morning, the blaze has consumed 273,664 acres and destroyed 75 homes, as well as 68 other structures, according to Cal Fire, the California agency responsible for fire protection. It has not resulted in any fatalities to date.
It’s a virtual certainty the fire will become the state’s largest wildfire in history in the coming days, as last December’s Thomas fire, claimed 281,893 acres."
