Editing An Animated Gif Using GIMP- How?
I tried to edit this gif to turn the guy into a nigger, but when I saved it as an animation, it just showed up as the original. I'm fairly new to GIMP and have never edited a gif before, so any help would be greatly appreciated. I know I messed it up because I'm unfamiliar with the tools.
open the gif in GIMP. On the left, you should have the window for Layers open. If not, hit CTRL L to bring it up.
this will show all the frames of the gif.
You'll have to manually "paint" each image, as you notice, not all images are complete, the gif was compressed for space, and in doing that, some redundant data is removed. Feel free to try and paint in the best you can here.
Once all the frames have been niggerized to your hearts content you'll need to save the image.
to do this, click File - Export - to bring up the next window. select a location to save the image, give it a name, and click Export.
this will bring up another window.
make sure you check the "as animation" and the "loop forever" areas.
You can slow down or speed up the gif by changing the frame delay.
click "export" and enjoy your artwork!
[google what you want, such as nigger chimp out, then add animated gif, search IMAGES]
