Offshore Oil Drilling: Pro and Cons
If there had been any doubt before, the 2010 catastrophe on the Deepwater Horizon in the Gulf of Mexico has really driven home the message that drilling for oil is a messy and risky business. Consequently, decisions are now being made that affect the future of offshore oil drilling. But how risky is it really? Should we stop offshore drilling?
Even following the devastating oil spill, opinions are split on offshore oil drilling. A USA Today article summed it up quite nicely: "Environmental hazard or energy bonanza: Oil and natural gas trapped beneath the USA's ocean floor mean different things to different people". Oil drilling will continue to be a big deal unless we become less dependent on fossil fuels (or the oil runs out). Understanding the process and looking at the environmental impacts involved will help to shed some light on offshore oil drilling.

Re: Offshore Oil Drilling: Pro and Cons
Deep Water Horizon was intentional, not an accident. BP was torpedoed (metaphor) by Halliburton, but made billions off the delays and moratorium. The motive was, in part, the "leave it in the ground" movement which Obammy is so fond of.
The reason the US has been unable to drill its own oil, is ostensibly because of Kissinger's deal with the Saudis, which created the petro dollar in the early 70s. But there is a deeper reason - preservation of oil reserves for those who've intended to inherit the Americas, all of them. You can read all about that HERE.
You should make yourself aware of the writer's life and death, and at whose hands. It's a small part of a much larger picture that only the truly diligent and curious can come to understand. It's a horror story few have the stomach for. Reality is impossible for the cognitively dissonant to accept or understand. It is evil so perverse and intrinsic in certain people that most normal people refuse to accept it as reality, but it is reality.

BLACK CRIMES MATTER
Any compact that uses force to compel membership therein is no compact at all, it's slavery.
The north fought to enslave us all, not to free the blacks.
